How To Find Service Data For ADAS Calibrations, For All OE’s
Essential tips to search OE service data, post collision
Intro to Our Method To Find Service Data
Recently, we did a live demonstration on how we perform ADAS calibrations at our facility. In that session, someone asked about our research process and how we identify necessary calibrations. Today, I’ll show you our approach using a 2018 Toyota Camry as an example.
Streamlined Research Process
Our first step is utilizing the CAR shop management system to search for previously performed services. This feature saves us time by allowing us to filter by vehicle make and job type. For example, searching for pre- and post-scan jobs on Toyota vehicles helps us quickly locate relevant past services.
Using Toyota’s Tech Info Portal
Once we’ve identified the necessary parts and services, we log into Toyota’s TI portal. Here’s how we efficiently find the required information:
- Select Vehicle and Model Year: Choose the specific vehicle model and year, in this case, a 2018 Toyota Camry.
- Search for Keywords: Start with simple keywords like “collision” to pull up relevant documents and bulletins.
- Explore Collision Repair Section: Dive into the Collision Repair section to access detailed information on parts and procedures.
- Save Relevant Documents: Save important PDFs, like damage diagnosis and repair procedures, to our network share for easy reference.
Why Our Method Works
Efficiency: Our streamlined process reduces the time spent searching for and performing calibrations.
Accuracy: By following precise OE instructions, we ensure high-quality, accurate calibrations.
Documentation: Saving all relevant documents facilitates easy reference and proof for insurance companies.
